Saturday we made distilled water for the hermit crabs.

Boymom, You bring water to a boil in a pan then put on the cool lid. The water that condenses on the lid is distilled--no more chlorine or minerals in it--so you tip the lid and let the water run into the hermit crabs' water dish. (enough for hermit crabs anyway;).
